The Mendon Vikings (Pittsford, NY) baseball trounced the host Batavia Blue Devils (Batavia, NY), 7-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Vikings now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host Sutherland for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 10. Mendon will clash with a Knights team coming off a 10-3 league win over Greece Olympia/Greece Odyssey (Rochester, NY). The Knights record now stands at 9-5.
With the defeat, Batavia drops to 10-7 on the year. The Blue devils host Honeoye Falls-Lima (Honeoye Falls, NY) to clash with the Cougars in a Section 5 Monroe County IV challenge on Monday, May 12. The Cougars go into the challenge with a record of 2-14. Honeoye Falls-Lima lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Brockport (Brockport, NY)
