The Monroe Hornets baseball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Bellbrook Golden Eagles to 3 in the Hornets league win on Friday.
The Hornets now own a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hamilton for a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. Monroe will clash with a Big Blue team coming off a 5-2 league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, OH). The Big Blue record now stands at 9-12.
With the defeat, Bellbrook drops to 6-9 on the year. The Golden eagles travel to Carroll (Dayton, OH) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 2-11.
