California High School Baseball - Imperial edges Central

The Imperial Tigers baseball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Central Spartans to 2 in the Tigers league win on Friday.

The Tigers now own a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holtville for a Imperial Valley test on Tuesday, May 13. Imperial will play a Vikings team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Calexico (Calexico, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-18.

With the defeat, Central drops to 9-15 on the year. The Spartans host Palo Verde Valley (Blythe, CA) to play the Yellow Jackets in a Imperial Valley test on Tuesday, May 13. The Yellow Jackets go into the test with a record of 13-11. Palo Verde Valley won 10-8 in their recent league test against Brawley (Brawley, CA)
