The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Columbia Blue Devils (East Greenbush, NY) and the visiting Guilderland Flying Dutchmen (Guilderland Center, NY), saw Columbia's baseball team gain a win over Guilderland by a tally of 9-4.

The Blue Devils (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against La Salle Institute (Troy, NY). The Cadets enter the non-league battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, La Salle Institute was overwhelmed by Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY), 5-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Flying Dutchmen face the Colonie Central Wolfpack (Albany, NY) in a Section 2 Suburban - Blue battle, on Monday, May 12. Guilderland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Wolfpack enter the battle with a 9-4 record after their 16-1 league win over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (Burnt Hills, NY).
