The Madison County Mountaineers baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Stonewall Jackson Generals to 1 in the Mountaineers league win on Friday.

The Mountaineers now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they host Orange County for a non-league test on Monday, May 12. Madison County will play a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 7-9.

With the defeat, Stonewall Jackson drops to 2-15 on the year. The Generals host Page County (Shenandoah, VA) to encounter the Panthers in a Bull Run outing on Tuesday, May 13. The Panthers enter the outing with a record of 3-14. Page County lost 16-1 in their recent league outing against Strasburg (Strasburg, VA)
