In Friday's league game, the visiting Oakfield Oaks baseball team scored a close 5-3 win over the Wayland Academy Big Red.

The Oaks (3-6) will now prepare for their game against Central Wisconsin Christian (Waupun, WI). The Crusaders go into the Trailways-North game with a 5-10 record. In their last game, Central Wisconsin Christian nudged Randolph (Randolph, WI), 25-17, in a league game.

Next, the Big Red play the Horicon Marshmen (Horicon, WI) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 15. Wayland Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Marshmen go into the game with a 10-2 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Living Word Lutheran (Jackson, WI).
