In Friday's league test, the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) baseball team routed the host El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), by a margin of 16-8.

The Highlanders now hold a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Valhalla for a test on Tuesday, May 13. Helix will play a Norsemen team coming off a 18-2 league loss to Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Norsemen record now stands at 0-18.

With the defeat, El Capitan drops to 12-10 on the year. The Vaqueros travel to La Jolla (La Jolla, CA) to play the Vikings in a non-league test on Monday, May 12. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 16-8. La Jolla lost 9-6 in their recent league test against Clairemont (San Diego, CA)
