Sussex Academy Seahawks (Georgetown, DE) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they saw their lacrosse team gain a win over the host Newark Charter School Patriots (Newark, DE), 8-5 in a non-league game.

With the victory, Sussex Academy advances its record to 9-4 on the season. The Seahawks travel to Odessa (Townsend, DE) to play the Ducks in a non-league game on Monday, May 12. The Ducks come into the game with a record of 8-4. Odessa won 17-0 in their recent league game against Mount Pleasant (Wilmington, DE)

The Patriots now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tower Hill for a non-league game on Tuesday, May 13. Newark Charter School will play a Hillers team coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Wilmington Christian (Hockessin, DE). The Hillers record now stands at 1-12.
