In Friday's league test, the Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Seaside Seagulls (Seaside, OR), by a tally of 12-1.

Next, the Fishermen clash with the Scappoose Indians (Scappoose, OR) in a 4A Cowapa test, on Tuesday, May 13. Astoria will attempt to advance on its 15-4 season record. The Indians go into the test with a 17-4 record after their 8-6 non-league loss to Scio (Scio, OR).

The Seagulls (3-17) will now prepare for their test against St. Helens (St. Helens, OR). The Lions go into the 4A Cowapa test with a 18-2 record. In their last test, St. Helens prevailed over Wilsonville (Wilsonville, OR), 4-2, in a non-league test.
