In Friday's league test, the Fremd Vikings (Palatine, IL) softball squad overwhelmed the host Conant Cougars (Hoffman Estates, IL), by a tally of 10-3.

Next, the Vikings clash with the Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL) in a Mid-Suburban West test, on Monday, May 12. Fremd will attempt to advance on its 21-3 season record. The Pirates go into the test with a 13-11 record after their 15-0 league win over Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL).

The Cougars (10-7) will now prepare for their test against Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL). The Saxons go into the Mid-Suburban West test with a 7-13 record. In their last test, Schaumburg held off Batavia (Batavia, IL), 13-2, in a non-league test.
