The East Rockingham Eagles (Elkton, VA) softball nipped the visiting Spotswood Trailblazers (Penn Laird, VA), 11-10 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Eagles now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rockbridge County for a non-league outing on Tuesday, May 13. East Rockingham will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Spotswood moves to 8-8 on the campaign. The Trailblazers host Broadway (Broadway, VA) to meet the Gobblers in a Valley challenge on Tuesday, May 13. The Gobblers go into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Broadway lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA)
