Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host South East Jaguars (South Gate, CA), 9-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Garfield upgrades its record to 14-7 on the year. The Bulldogs host Marquez (Huntington Park, CA) to play the Gladiators in a non-league game on Saturday, May 10. The Gladiators enter the game with a record of 20-1. Marquez won 22-0 in their recent league game against Maywood CES (Maywood, CA)

The Jaguars now own a 6-12 record.
