The Rural Retreat Indians softball team scored 10 runs and held the host Marion Scarlet Hurricanes to 8 in the Indians non-league win on Friday.

The Indians now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Patrick Henry for a Hogoheegee battle on Tuesday, May 13. Rural Retreat will confront a Rebels team coming off a 2-1 league win over Honaker (Honaker, VA). The Rebels record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Marion moves to 7-11 on the season. The Scarlet hurricanes travel to Graham (Bluefield, VA) to confront the G-Men in a Southwest battle on Tuesday, May 13. The G-Men come into the battle with a record of 5-10. Graham lost 13-1 in their recent league battle against Lebanon (Lebanon, VA)
