Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS), 3-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Myrtle improves its record to 25-6 on the year. The Hawks travel to Stringer (Stringer, MS) to play the Red Devils in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 13. The Red Devils enter the game with a record of 25-3. Stringer won 16-1 in their recent non-league game against Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS)

The Eagles now hold a 21-11 record.

This game is a part of the 2025 MHSAA Fast Pitch Championship (Mississippi) - 1A Fast Pitch Championship tournament
