The St. Francis Fighting Saints softball team scored 5 runs and held the host North Branch Vikings to 2 in the Fighting Saints league win on Friday.
The Fighting Saints now possess a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Orono for a non-league battle on Monday, May 12. St. Francis will confront a Spartans team coming off a 7-6 league loss to St. Louis Park (St. Louis Park, MN). The Spartans record now stands at 6-7.
With the loss, North Branch moves to 5-7 on the season. The Vikings travel to Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN) to confront the Bluejackets in a Mississippi 8 battle on Tuesday, May 13. The Bluejackets go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Cambridge-Isanti won 4-0 in their recent league bout against Chisago Lakes Area (Lindstrom, MN)
