The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Willamette Wolverines (Eugene, OR) and the visiting North Salem Vikings (Salem, OR), observed Willamette's softball team notch a victory over North Salem by a final score of 16-1.

The Wolverines (10-12) will now prepare for their bout against South Medford (Medford, OR). The Panthers go into the 6A Southwest bout with a 15-7 record. In their last test, South Medford prevailed over Grants Pass (Grants Pass, OR), 5-4, in a league test.

The Vikings (3-13) will now prepare for their test against Sprague (Salem, OR). The Olympians go into the 6A Central Valley test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Sprague prevailed over South Salem (Salem, OR), 16-3, in a league test.
