St. Catherine of Siena Academy Athletes (Wixom, MI) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting University Liggett Knights (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI), 11-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, St. Catherine of Siena Academy upgrades its record to 1-10 on the year. The Athletes host Central Catholic (Toledo, OH) to play the Fighting Irish in a game on Saturday, May 10. The Fighting Irish enter the game with a record of 11-9. Central Catholic won 20-1 in their recent league game against Gabriel Richard (Ann Arbor, MI)

The Knights now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeview for a non-league game on Monday, May 12. University Liggett will play a Huskies squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to St. Clair (St. Clair, MI). The Huskies record now stands at 3-7.
