Illinois High School Baseball - Midwest Central edges Edinburg

May 9, 2026: Manito, IL 61546

The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Midwest Central Raiders (Manito, IL) and the visiting Edinburg Athletics (Edinburg, IL), saw Midwest Central's baseball team gain a win over Edinburg by a tally of 4-2.

The Raiders (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL). The Chargers enter the non-league battle with a 13-12 record. In their last battle, Peoria Christian held off Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL), 7-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Athletics face the Pawnee Indians (Pawnee, IL) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 12. Edinburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 16-8 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Carrollton (Carrollton, IL).
