North Carolina High School Baseball - Elkin nudged by North Wilkes

The Elkin Elks baseball team (Elkin, NC), was tipped 8-7 in Tuesday's league outing with the host North Wilkes Vikings (Hays, NC)

The Vikings now hold a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Wilkes for a Mountain Valley 1A/2A outing on Friday, June 4. North Wilkes will confront a Blackhawks team coming off a 12-0 league win over Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Blackhawks record now stands at 11-0.

Next, the Elks confront the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a Mountain Valley 1A/2A outing, on Monday, June 7. Elkin will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Huskies go into the outing with a 3-8 record after their 17-1 league loss to Starmount (Boonville, NC).
