Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK) and the host Service Cougars (Anchorage, AK), witnessed Chugiak's softball squad prevail over Service by a count of 15-2.

The Mustangs now sport a 22-5 record. They play next when they travel to South Anchorage for a non-league match on Friday, June 2. Chugiak will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Wolverines record now stands at 23-4.

With the loss, Service moves to 6-13 on the season. The Cougars host Colony (Palmer, AK) to meet the Knights in a non-league match on Thursday, June 1. The Knights go into the match with a record of 23-12. Colony won 11-9 in their recent non-league match against West Valley (Fairbanks, AK)
