The Des Moines North Polar Bears crushed the visiting Essex Trojans baseball team by a count of 12-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Polar Bears now possess a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Roosevelt for a Alliance Conference - South bout on Thursday, June 6.
The Trojans (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Griswold (Griswold, IA). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Griswold overcame Fremont-Mills (Tabor, IA), 8-3, in a non-league game.
