Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA) and the host Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA), witnessed B-G-M's softball squad tip Nevada by a count of 8-6.
The Bears now sport a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Iowa Valley for a South Iowa Cedar match on Saturday, June 1.
With the loss, Nevada moves to 2-6 on the season. The Cubs host Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA) to meet the Tigers in a non-league match on Saturday, June 1. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 2-2.
