Central Decatur Cardinals (Leon, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lamoni Demons (Lamoni, IA), 13-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Moravia for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 3. Central Decatur will battle a Mohawks squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Wayne (Corydon, IA). The Mohawks record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Lamoni falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Seymour (Seymour, IA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 3. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Seymour won 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Orient-Macksburg (Orient, IA)
