Albia Blue Demons (Albia, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Centerville Big Reds/Redettes (Centerville, IA), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Blue Demons now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they host Pleasantville for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 12. Albia will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 8-3 league loss to Van Meter (Van Meter, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Centerville falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Big reds/redettes travel to Davis County (Bloomfield, IA) to battle the Mustangs in a South Central challenge on Tuesday, June 11. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 3-11. Davis County lost 7-5 in their recent league challenge against Cardinal (Eldon, IA)
