The Newman Catholic Knights softball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Osage Green Devils to 2 in the Knights non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Newman Catholic moves its record to 13-1 on the year. The Knights travel to AGWSR (Ackley, IA) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, June 11. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 1-13. AGWSR lost 15-0 in their recent non-league game against South Hardin (Eldora, IA)

In their next game, the Green Devils clash with the Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA) in a Top of Iowa-East game, on Wednesday, June 12. Osage will attempt to move on its 11-7 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 9-3 record after their 12-3 non-league win over Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA).
