Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA) fans left the game pleased Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA), 5-4 in a league match.

With the triumph, Crestwood advances its record to 2-8 on the season. The Cadets host South Winneshiek (Calmar, IA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league match on Wednesday, June 11. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 7-4. South Winneshiek won 19-3 in their recent league match against Postville (Postville, IA)

The Comets now have a 0-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Decorah-North Winneshiek for a Northeast Iowa match on Friday, June 13.
