The Hinton Blackhawks overwhelmed the visiting George-Little Rock Mustangs softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Tuesday's league challenge.
Next, the Blackhawks meet the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks (Hartley, IA) in a War Eagle challenge, on Wednesday, June 11. Hinton will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record. The Hawks go into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 16-5 league loss to Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA).
The Mustangs (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA). The Royals go into the War Eagle challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union was routed by Kingsley-Pierson (Kingsley, IA), 7-6, in a non-league challenge.
