In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Akron-Westfield Westerners baseball team scored a tight 7-4 victory over the Kingsley-Pierson Panthers.
The Westerners (13-1) will now prepare for their game against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA). The Royals go into the War Eagle game with a 8-4 record. In their last game, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union by Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA), 8-7, in a non-league game.
