The Charles City Comets softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings to 0 in the Comets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Charles City improves its record to 13-1 on the year. The Comets travel to St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA) to clash with the Saints in a non-league game on Wednesday, June 12. The Saints come into the game with a record of 13-3. St. Ansgar won 8-3 in their recent league game against Central Springs (Manly, IA)

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Crestwood Cadets (Cresco, IA) in a non-league game, on Friday, June 14. Decorah-North Winneshiek will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Cadets come into the game with a 9-5 record after their 6-2 non-league win over New Hampton (New Hampton, IA).
