The Montezuma Braves baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Iowa Valley Tigers to 3 in the Braves league win on Wednesday.

The Braves now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Sigourney for a South Iowa Cedar test on Friday, June 13. Montezuma will clash with a Savages team coming off a 17-6 league win over H-L-V (Victor, IA). The Savages record now stands at 11-0.

With the defeat, Iowa Valley drops to 4-5 on the year. The Tigers host North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA) to clash with the Warhawks in a South Iowa Cedar test on Friday, June 13. The Warhawks go into the test with a record of 6-5. North Mahaska won 17-9 in their recent league test against Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA)
