The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Warriors edged the host Le Mars Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.
Next, the Warriors meet the Jefferson Yellowjackets (Council Bluffs, IA) in a Missouri River challenge, on Thursday, June 12. Sergeant Bluff-Luton will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 11-7 league loss to Sioux City West (Sioux City, IA).
The Bulldogs (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA). The Crusaders enter the Missouri River challenge with a 6-4 record.
