The Pleasant Valley Spartans routed the host Davenport Central Blue Devils softball squad by a final score of 8-2 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Spartans (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hempstead (Dubuque, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Hempstead nudged Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Blue Devils now possess a 7-14 record. They play next when they host Muscatine for a non-league battle on Monday, June 19. Davenport Central will meet a Muskies squad coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, IA). The Muskies record now stands at 12-0.
