The St. Edmond Gaels routed the visiting Clear Lake Lions softball squad by a count of 13-3 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Gaels (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Northwest (Waukee, IA). The Wolves go into the non-league battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Northwest topped Indianola (Indianola, IA), 6-1, in a non-league battle.

The Lions now sport a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Charles City for a non-league battle on Thursday, June 13. Clear Lake will meet a Comets squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA). The Comets record now stands at 14-1.
