Forest City Indians (Forest City, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals (Garner, IA), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Humboldt for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 13. Forest City will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 5-4 league loss to Hampton-Dumont/CAL (Hampton, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-6.

With the loss, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Cardinals host West Hancock (Britt, IA) to battle the Eagles in a Top of Iowa-West challenge on Friday, June 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-10. West Hancock lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA)
