Janesville Wildcats (Janesville, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting North Tama Red Hawks (Traer, IA), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they host Nashua-Plainfield for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 13. Janesville will face a Huskies squad coming off a 6-5 league win over Rockford (Rockford, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, North Tama falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Red hawks host Colo-NESCO (Colo, IA) to face the Royals in a non-league challenge on Friday, June 14. The Royals enter the challenge with a record of 3-12. Colo-NESCO lost 12-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA)
