South Winneshiek Warriors (Calmar, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Postville Pirates (Postville, IA), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 7-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Osage for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 13. South Winneshiek will face a Green Devils squad coming off a 15-4 league win over Central Springs (Manly, IA). The Green Devils record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Postville falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Pirates host West Central (Maynard, IA) to face the Blue Devils in a Upper Iowa challenge on Monday, June 17. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. West Central won 12-11 in their recent league challenge against Central (Elkader, IA)
