The Beckman Trailblazers baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host Maquoketa Cardinals to 2 in the Trailblazers non-league win on Thursday.

The Trailblazers now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Assumption for a non-league test on Saturday, June 14. Beckman will play a Knights team coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Western Dubuque (Epworth, IA). The Knights record now stands at 10-7.

With the defeat, Maquoketa drops to 2-15 on the year. The Cardinals host Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA) to play the Vikings in a non-league test on Monday, June 16. The Vikings go into the test with a record of 3-11. Vinton-Shellsburg lost 21-0 in their recent league test against Benton (Van Horne, IA)
