The East Union Eagles (Afton, IA) baseball trounced the host Central Decatur Cardinals (Leon, IA), 24-12 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Martensdale-St. Mary's for a Pride of Iowa challenge on Friday, June 13. East Union will clash with a Blue Devils team coming off a 13-3 league win over Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 11-3.

With the defeat, Central Decatur drops to 2-9 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA) to clash with the Raiders in a Pride of Iowa challenge on Monday, June 16. The Raiders go into the challenge with a record of 8-2. Mount Ayr won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Wayne (Corydon, IA)
