The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) and the host Harlan Cyclones (Harlan, IA), observed Denison-Schleswig's softball team get by Harlan by a tally of 10-3.

The Monarchs (4-10) will now prepare for their bout against Red Oak (Red Oak, IA). The Tigers go into the Hawkeye 10 bout with a 2-12 record. In their last bout, Red Oak was routed by Stanton (Stanton, IA), 12-8, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Cyclones battle the Lawton-Bronson Eagles (Lawton, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, June 14. Harlan will attempt to advance on its 1-11 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to Kuemper (Carroll, IA).
