The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Washington Demons (Washington, IA) and the visiting Fort Madison Bloodhounds (Fort Madison, IA), observed Washington's softball team get by Fort Madison by a tally of 4-2.

The Demons (10-5) will now prepare for their bout against Don Bosco (Gilbertville, IA). The Dons go into the non-league bout with a 7-7 record. In their last bout, Don Bosco tipped Baxter (Baxter, IA), 15-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bloodhounds clash with the Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA) in a Southeast bout, on Monday, June 16. Fort Madison will attempt to advance on its 4-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 7-1 league loss to Fairfield (Fairfield, IA).
