The Alburnett Pirates softball team scored 10 runs and limited the host North Linn Lynx to 2 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Alburnett improves its record to 21-3 on the year. The Pirates host Starmont (Arlington, IA) to clash with the Stars in a non-league game on Monday, June 17. The Stars come into the game with a record of 2-13. Starmont lost 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Lisbon (Lisbon, IA)

In their next game, the Lynx clash with the West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA) in a non-league game, on Friday, June 14. North Linn will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 5-10 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Vinton-Shellsburg (Vinton, IA).
