Earlham Cardinals (Earlham, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ogden Bulldogs (Ogden, IA), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 15-10 record. They take the field next when they host Pleasantville for a West Central challenge on Monday, June 17. Earlham will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Ogden falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Greene County (Jefferson, IA) to battle the Rams in a non-league challenge on Friday, June 14. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 4-11. Greene County lost 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Roland-Story (Story City, IA)
