Highland Huskies (Riverside, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA), 15-3 in a league challenge.

The Huskies now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Burlington for a non-league challenge on Monday, June 17. Highland will face a Falcons squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA). The Falcons record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Pekin falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Columbus (Columbus Junction, IA) to face the Wildcats in a SE IA Super - North challenge on Friday, June 14. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-12. Columbus lost 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Lone Tree (Lone Tree, IA)
