In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs baseball team scored a close 13-7 win over the Saydel Eagles.

The Mustangs (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Perry (Perry, IA). The Bluejays go into the non-league game with a 1-14 record.

Next, the Eagles play the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders (Coon Rapids, IA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, June 14. Saydel will attempt to improve on its 13-4 season record. The Crusaders go into the game with a 11-1 record after their 10-1 league win over Ar-We-Va (Westside, IA).
