The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA) and the host Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA), observed Pekin's softball team get by Columbus by a tally of 6-3.

The Panthers (6-7) will now prepare for their bout against Keota (Keota, IA). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Keota tipped English Valleys (North English, IA), 9-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Iowa Valley Tigers (Marengo, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, June 14. Columbus will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 4-3 league win over Montezuma (Montezuma, IA).
