The Westerners now possess a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Mary's for a non-league bout on Friday, June 16. Akron-Westfield will face a Hawks team coming off a 19-0 non-league win over South O'Brien (Paullina, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 14-2.

Next, the Royals face the Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, June 16. Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Jays enter the bout with a 8-1 record after their 13-0 non-league win over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA).
