The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) baseball trounced the host St. Albert Falcons (Council Bluffs, IA), 14-2 in Friday's non-league match.
The Golden Hawks (13-6) will now prepare for their match against West Liberty (West Liberty, IA). The Comets go into the non-league match with a 9-10 record. In their last match, West Liberty was overwhelmed by Wilton (Wilton, IA), 11-5, in a league match.
The Falcons (7-12) will now prepare for their match against Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA). The Knights go into the non-league match with a 18-3 record. In their last match, Newman Catholic gained a win over Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA), 3-0, in a non-league match.
