South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets (Iowa Falls, IA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Estherville Lincoln Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, June 14. South Hamilton will face a Midgets squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA). The Midgets record now stands at 17-3.

With the loss, Iowa Falls-Alden falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to Roland-Story (Story City, IA) to face the Norsemen in a non-league challenge on Friday, June 14. The Norsemen enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. Roland-Story won 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Greene County (Jefferson, IA)
