The West Monona Spartans softball team scored 20 runs and limited the visiting Whiting Warriors to 0 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, West Monona improves its record to 17-3 on the year. The Spartans travel to West Sioux (Hawarden, IA) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league game on Saturday, June 15. The Falcons come into the game with a record of 1-12. West Sioux lost 5-4 in their recent league game against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA)

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Sioux City West Wolverines (Sioux City, IA) in a non-league game, on Monday, June 17. Whiting will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Wolverines come into the game with a 5-11 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Le Mars (Le Mars, IA).
