The St. Ansgar Saints baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Charles City Comets to 1 in the Saints non-league win on Saturday.

The Saints now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Springs for a non-league test on Monday, June 16. St. Ansgar will play a Panthers team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to New Hampton (New Hampton, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-5.

With the defeat, Charles City drops to 0-14 on the year. The Comets host New Hampton (New Hampton, IA) to play the Chickasaws in a Northeast Iowa test on Tuesday, June 17. The Chickasaws go into the test with a record of 17-3. New Hampton won 6-4 in their recent non-league test against Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA)
